Our Process

At Coconut Active, we are passionate about creating activewear that not only looks great but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability. Our manufacturing process ensures that every step is carefully executed to bring you top-quality products that you can feel good about. It all starts with our talented team of graphic designers who work tirelessly to create unique and limited edition prints exclusively for Coconut Active. These designs capture the essence of our brand and ensure that our activewear stands out from the crowd. Once a print is sold out, we never repeat it, making each piece truly special.

To bring these designs to life, we collaborate with top printing houses in Brazil renowned for their expertise in printing on polyamide fabric. These facilities ensure that our prints come alive with vibrant colours and fine details. Polyamide fabric is the perfect choice for activewear as it offers durability, flexibility, and moisture-wicking properties, keeping you comfortable during any workout.

But it doesn't end there! We believe in supporting women-run businesses and maintaining a small batch production process. That's why we work with a small CMT facility run by women. Each garment is meticulously handmade to the highest standards, ensuring superior quality and attention to detail. This also allows us to closely monitor and control the production process, guaranteeing that our activewear meets our stringent standards.

MEET THE TEAM

Coconut Active was founded in 2012 by Alexandra Ferguson, and Kate Louw joined the company as a partner in 2017. Kate's main goal was to create a lifestyle line of activewear that offers comfort and wearability throughout the day. The brand's vision was to create a range that could be worn for any event or non-event. The leggings are designed to be versatile, whether paired with sneakers, trainers, flops, or worn barefoot. The team at Coconut Active does not follow trends but carefully selects fabrics and styles that best complement the brand. They work tirelessly to produce new prints and products and find the very best textile bases available.

Coconut Active exclusively uses Polyamide fabrics, which have a superior feel and are softer and more flexible. These fabrics are resistant to chafing and dry quickly as they wick moisture away from the body, making the leggings suitable for water activities as well. All products from Coconut Active offer UVA/UVB 50+ protection, quick drying capabilities, and long-lasting durability without stretching or fading over time. The material contain LYCRA®️ fibre, engineered to provide exceptional recovery power, fit, and freedom of movement.
